SYNECTA A.S. is the general contractor for the project of «Construction of a combined cycle gas turbine with capacity of 370 MW at the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant». The project is implemented in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated on December 15, 2010 № 1442 «The priorities of industrial development of Uzbekistan in 2011‑2015»; and the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers on October 16, 2012 № 293 «The measures to implement the investment project of «Construction of CCGT with a capacity of 370 MW on the Tashkent Thermal Power Plant». The project total cost is 520 million USD. Number of participants who are participating in the implementation of the project is about 1500 people. The modernization of Tashkent Thermal Power Plant and construction of CCGT with a capacity of 370 MW will ensure reliable electricity and heat supply for the consumers in the region. In addition, the project will provide additional capacity, improve the reliability of electricity and heating and improve the conditions of environment in the area of Tashkent TPP. The main fuel for the power plant is natural gas.

The main contractor of the project is a consortium of companies of «SYNECTA A.S.» (Slovakia) and «Istroenergo Group A.S. » (Slovakia) in association with «SNC Lavalin Polsko. Sp.zo.o. ». «General Electric» is the main supplier of needed equipment. ООО «Synecta Central Asia» was assigned as a function of the Directorate for the construction on behalf of the consortium.

Within the framework of the 5^th International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange, agreement has been made between UE «Talimardjan TPP», JSC «Uzbekenergo» and «Synecta Central Asia LLC» on the implementation of overhaul of the power unit at Talimardjan TPP on the basis of the plan of repair, equipment of Energy Company which was approved by JSC «Uzbekenergo».

Since 2012, heavy, medium and minor repair works have been done at the power station №1, which has a capacity of 800 MW to supply all the necessary spare parts, equipment and materials.

By looking at the importance and the characteristics of this power unit, for repair work foreign specialists of the companies of «Siemens AG» (Germany), «KUHME» (Germany), JSC «Teploenergomontaj» (Moscow, Russia), JSC «PIK-Zebra» (Moscow, Russian), «Prosoft-Systems» (Perm, Russia), OJSC «Power Machines» (Saint-Petersburg, Russia) have been attracted.

A number of high power electric motors have been installed and repaired, the licking parts of TF pumps, unique spare parts for steam pipes and generators, dredge for cleaning supply channel stations, installation of high pressure «WOMA» for cleaning condenser tubes of pipes, reconstruction of supportive fittings of turbines, boiler, on-shore pump station, substations of switchyard (SWYD) and etc., have been done.
